According to a CTD spokesperson, an operation was conducted in the Darakhshan area of Quetta after receiving credible intelligence. During an exchange of fire, eight militants were killed. Security officials also recovered a large cache of weapons from the site.
Authorities said the militants belonged to a banned outfit and were involved in attacks on government installations and civilians. Meanwhile, three CTD personnel were injured during the operation and were shifted to hospital for treatment.
In a separate intelligence-based operation in the Rakhni area of Barkhan, CTD personnel killed six militants. Officials confirmed that arms and explosive material were recovered from the militants.
