According to a CTD spokesperson, an operation was conducted in the Darakhshan area of Quetta after receiving credible intelligence. During an exchange of fire, eight militants were killed. Security officials also recovered a large cache of weapons from the site.

Authorities said the militants belonged to a banned outfit and were involved in attacks on government installations and civilians. Meanwhile, three CTD personnel were injured during the operation and were shifted to hospital for treatment.

In a separate intelligence-based operation in the Rakhni area of Barkhan, CTD personnel killed six militants. Officials confirmed that arms and explosive material were recovered from the militants.

Separately, suspected militants attacked a police station and a customs check post in Dera Ismail Khan. According to police officials, one policeman was martyred in an attack on Yarak police station, while the attackers fled after a retaliatory response.

Officials added that the fleeing assailants also targeted a nearby customs check post, injuring two customs personnel. Security forces have launched a search operation in the area to track down those involved.
