A high-profile bust unfolded as CTD Punjab Arrests 12 RAW-Linked Terrorists, Foils Major Attack in Lahore, Faisalabad and Bahawalpur, recovering explosives, weapons, detonators, digital intelligence and cash. The Counter-Terrorism Department confirmed that the arrested operatives belonged to India’s network known as Fitna al-Hindustan and were planning large-scale terror attacks in Punjab.
A CTD spokesperson said the arrests were made in coordinated operations in Lahore, Faisalabad and Bahawalpur. During preliminary interrogation, the terrorists revealed data, photos, videos and location coordinates of sensitive places, government buildings, a madrasa and even a local fair.
The Faisalabad cell was actively planning to create panic and religious chaos, the CTD revealed.
Identities of Arrested RAW Terrorists
The CTD spokesperson disclosed the identities of the operatives:
From Lahore Sukhdeep Singh, Azmat, Faizan, Nabeel, Abrar, Usman and Sarfaraz from Faisalabad Danish from Bahawalpur Rajab, Hashim, Saqib and Arif.
The spokesperson added that Sukhdeep Singh, a core member of Fitna al-Hindustan, was a born Christian who recently converted to another religion and was being used by RAW for intelligence activities.
Indian Facebook ID Used for Coordination
The CTD said that an Indian-controlled Facebook account named “Adil,” operated by RAW handlers, played a key role in identifying and coordinating their activities. The same digital channel helped authorities trace the group.
Authorities recovered IEDs, seven detonators, two fuse wires measuring 102 feet, weapons, mobile phones and cash. All 12 members are now in custody, with further investigations under way.
The spokesperson confirmed that RAW heavily financed the Fitna al-Hindustan network, and cases have been formally registered against all arrested individuals.
