Security forces enforce curfew in North Waziristan as main roads remain closed

NORTH WAZIRISTAN: The local administration has imposed a North Waziristan curfew across the district on January 10 and 11, 2026, citing security and administrative reasons.

According to the Deputy Commissioner of North Waziristan, all major roads, including the Bannu–Miranshah main highway, will remain closed for general traffic during the curfew period. Only authorised and emergency vehicles will be allowed to move with prior permission.

The authorities have urged residents to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and strictly follow the curfew orders to avoid inconvenience.

Induction Tests Postponed

Meanwhile, officials confirmed that induction tests scheduled to begin tomorrow have been postponed due to the North Waziristan curfew. A notification has been issued, stating that new dates will be announced later.

The district administration said the decision was taken to ensure public safety and smooth implementation of security measures.

Residents have been advised to stay informed through official announcements and avoid unnecessary travel during the curfew days.
