RAWALPINDI: The dengue outbreak in Punjab is escalating, with an additional 169 cases reported in the province. The total number of individuals affected by dengue in Punjab has now reached 9,862.
In the last 24 hours, Lahore recorded 90 new cases, while Gujranwala reported 26 cases, highlighting the swift spread of the disease. Other cities in Punjab also witnessed a surge in dengue cases, with Multan reporting 17 cases, Rawalpindi with 16 cases, and Faisalabad registering 9 new cases.
The Punjab Health Department is actively treating 148 dengue patients in various hospitals across the province, demonstrating intensified efforts to combat the outbreak.
