DG ISPR Addresses Aitchison College on National Security

Lahore: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry held a special interactive session with students and faculty members at Aitchison College Lahore, focusing on national security, terrorism, and hybrid warfare challenges facing Pakistan.

During the session, the DG ISPR spoke in detail about evolving security threats, including terrorist networks and what he described as “Fitna al Khawarij” and “Fitna al Hindustan,” as well as ongoing hybrid warfare efforts targeting Pakistan.

He highlighted the importance of national unity, awareness, and resilience in countering misinformation and security challenges in the digital age.

The principal of Aitchison College said the institution has maintained a strong and historic bond with the Pakistan Army since the creation of Pakistan. He termed the interaction a valuable opportunity for students to gain insight into national security matters.

Students and faculty members actively participated in the session, raising questions which were addressed by the DG ISPR in what attendees described as a composed and detailed manner.

Faculty members emphasized the importance of such engagements, especially at a time when distinguishing between facts and misinformation on social media has become increasingly difficult. They expressed hope that similar sessions would continue in the future.

At the conclusion of the session, students and faculty reaffirmed their support for the Pakistan Army in efforts to combat terrorism and ensure peace, stability, and national security.

Officials stated that such interactions aim to strengthen awareness among youth regarding Pakistan’s security landscape and ongoing counter-terrorism efforts.
