DGIP Launches Digital Dashboard for Passport Tracking

The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGIP) has launched a Digital Integrated Dashboard to monitor passport applications, printing and delivery in real time, aiming to speed up processing and improve services for applicants.

In an official statement, DGIP said a dedicated 24/7 monitoring room has been established at its headquarters on the instructions of Director General Immigration and Passports Mustafa Jamal Kazi. The facility will oversee daily operations related to passport printing, delivery and office performance.

According to the statement, the new system tracks every stage of the process, starting from passport application to final delivery. The dashboard can also automatically identify excessive rush at passport offices, allowing authorities to respond quickly and manage crowds more effectively.

DGIP said the modern monitoring mechanism will keep a close watch on staff performance and the passport printing process. A network management system has also been integrated to track pending backlogs and monitor the operational status of machinery involved in printing.

Mustafa Jamal Kazi said the digital monitoring system will further enhance DGIP’s overall performance. He added that the system allows real time monitoring of officers, staff efficiency and the flow of citizens at all passport offices.

He said DGIP has also introduced a mechanism to resolve issues immediately after identification, reducing delays and improving service delivery.

DGIP further stated that the digital dashboard will strengthen performance not only within Pakistan but also at Pakistani missions abroad. Real time evaluation, it added, will help improve passport processing and services for applicants worldwide.
