ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples’ Party leader Dr. Asim Hussain on Monday has requested the Supreme Court (SC) to remove his name from the Exit Control List (ECL).
The petition submitted by Dr. Asim’s lawyer Sardar Latif Khosa stated that he needed immediate medical attention abroad.
It further stated that anything could happen in case Dr Asim was barred from travelling abroad as his client was suffering from several ailments.
There should be no restriction on Dr Asim’s movement, and his passport should be returned to him, read the petition.
On June 5, the SHC ruled that Dr Asim’s name would continue to be included in the ECL.
