The Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections were held on June 7, but final results for several constituencies were delayed due to partial re-polling at selected polling stations.

The delays followed complaints from several political parties regarding alleged irregularities and concerns about the vote-counting process. PPP, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) had raised questions about the transparency of the electoral process.

To address these concerns, election authorities ordered re-polling at selected polling stations in five constituencies, including GBA-8, GBA-13, GBA-15, GBA-16, and GBA-17. The ECGB said the decision was aimed at resolving specific complaints while allowing the overall electoral process to move forward.
