Islamabad: The spokesperson of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has emphasized that President Arif Alvi’s statement regarding the delay of general elections in Pakistan has created a negative impression.
He assured that the ECP has completed all preparations for general elections, with no uncertainty about the election month.
Additionally, the first phase of delimitation has already been completed, and the second phase, which involves the submission of objections, will conclude on October 27th.
The spokesperson also confirmed that the election commission will commence hearing about initial delimitation objections by either October 30th or 31st.
The Election Commission plans to finalize the first list of constituencies by November 30th. Once the constituencies are officially finalized, the ECP will announce the election schedule for Pakistan, with no ambiguity.
