Eid Milad un Nabi (PBUH) is lighting up Pakistan as the country celebrates the birth of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) on Tuesday. Streets and buildings across the nation are brightly illuminated, predominantly in green, to honor the occasion.
Muslims worldwide observe this significant day on the 12th of Rabi ul Awal. In Pakistan, the celebrations include processions, Milad gatherings, and prayer ceremonies. The Karachi Traffic Police have announced a detailed diversion plan due to three major processions on MA Jinnah Road, which will remain closed for the day.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have both addressed the nation with messages underscoring the importance of the Holy Prophet’s (SAW) teachings.
In his message, President Asif Ali Zardari urged the nation and the Muslim Ummah to follow the guidance of the Holy Prophet (SAW) as a beacon to navigate current challenges. On this 12th of Rabi ul Awal, 1446, he congratulated the nation on the Holy Prophet’s (SAW) birth anniversary, stating that “Allah Almighty had set the Holy Prophet’s (SAW) life as a role model to guide every aspect of life.”
President Zardari emphasized that the Holy Prophet (SAW) built a just society where everyone, regardless of status, could live with dignity. He highlighted the Prophet’s (SAW) teachings on standing against oppression and supporting the marginalized. The President noted that, amid global division and oppression, it is essential to spread the Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) message of love, tolerance, and human rights. He called for promoting global brotherhood, justice, and love.
The President also pointed out that the Holy Prophet (SAW) is a lasting source of guidance. He encouraged the nation to follow the Prophet’s (SAW) example of serving humanity, which includes caring for orphans, supporting the poor, and helping the sick. He urged everyone to dedicate this day to humanitarian efforts and integrate the Prophet’s (SAW) teachings into daily life.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also shared a message celebrating Eid Milad un Nabi. He stated that “the solution to the challenges facing the Muslim Ummah and Pakistan lies in the teachings of Holy Prophet (SAW).” PM Shehbaz urged people to put aside differences and commit to the nation’s development. He remarked that the 12th of Rabi ul Awal is a significant day when Allah Almighty provided humanity with perfect guidance through the Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
The Prime Minister noted that the Holy Prophet’s (SAW) life and character serve as a guiding light. He urged the nation to follow the Prophet’s (SAW) example of love, tolerance, and justice, especially in these difficult times. PM Shehbaz emphasized the importance of studying and emulating the Prophet’s (SAW) biography to address the challenges faced by the Muslim Ummah and Pakistan.
He highlighted the Prophet’s (SAW) teachings on helping the weak, orphans, and the needy. The Prime Minister also expressed solidarity with those suffering in Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). He described the ongoing human rights violations in IIOJK as heart-wrenching and called for the international community to support these oppressed individuals.
PM Shehbaz concluded by urging everyone to raise their voices for the oppressed and advocate for their rights. He prayed for justice and freedom for the people of Palestine and IIOJK and stressed the duty to support these causes on every forum.
