ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has signed the Election Act Amendment Bill 2024, after which the Election Amendment Bill has now become a regular act.
After signing the Act Amendment Bill 2024 last evening, President Asif Zardari put out the bill sent for gazette notification. Its said that the notification of the Act Amendment Bill will be issued today.
The bill produced by the PMLN lawmaker in the National Assembly last month in an attempt to block PTI’s reseverd seats and independents lawmakers from joining in the light of the Supreme Court’s July 12 verdict.
The both house of the parliament-National Assembly and Senate- had passed the bill on Tuesday amid opposition parties particularly PTI protest.
From this, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf chief Brister Gohar says that the government is attacking through threats supreme court that means government has attacked the other party to crush the political party.
