PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak here on Wednesday vowed that he would expose every party, which was involved in stoking up violence during the local government elections in the province.
Addressing a press conference in Peshawar on Wednesday, Chief Minister Khattak denied any involvement in pro-planned rigging. “Law and order situation was created to defame the provincial government,” he explained.
“We are preparing a report on election-related violence. The report will be made public.”
He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had called for the deployment of army for the elections, but Election Commission gave no answer.
To a question, he said that government had no role in arrest of senior ANP leader Mian Iftikhar Hussain. “There is zero political interference in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police,” he maintained.
