ORAKZAI: In the town of Doli Korz loir and Kazai in District Orakzai, a short-circuit blast unfolded in a mine, resulting in the entrapment of eleven mine workers.
Prompt response from Rescue 1122 led to the successful rescue of the trapped workers after an arduous effort. Following the incident, injured mine workers were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital by Rescue 1122.
Additionally, one severely injured individual received specialized care at Kohat Hospital. Regrettably, this marks the second blast at the same mine within a year.
A prior incident occurred twelve months ago, caused by a gas spark, resulting in nine fatalities and four injuries.
The recurrence of such incidents raises concerns about the safety measures implemented in coal mines, shedding light on the challenging and often dangerous nature of the work undertaken by mine workers.
