Exams Postponed Due to Severe Cold Wave; New Schedule Announced

Class 8 Exams Postponed in Balochistan Amid Severe Cold

The Balochistan government has postponed Class 8 examinations across the province due to an intense cold wave, snowfall, and heavy rainfall, issuing a revised exam schedule to ensure student safety.

According to official sources, the Balochistan Education Department announced the decision after severe weather conditions disrupted normal life in several districts. The move was made to protect students and provide relief to parents amid freezing temperatures.

In a notification issued by the Director of Education, the department stated that the postponement was approved after requests from district education officers and parents. Authorities cited student safety and accessibility concerns as key reasons behind the delay.

Originally scheduled to begin on January 26, the Class 8 examinations will now start from February 6, as per the new timetable.

District Education Officers (DEOs) have been instructed to promptly inform students, parents, and schools about the revised dates to avoid confusion.

Officials advised students and parents to stay updated through official channels and follow safety guidelines during the ongoing cold spell.
