FACE (Food Security & Agriculture Centre of Excellence), a non-profit organization, has partnered with the Punjab Government to boost the agriculture sector. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Punjab Agriculture Department and FACE on Thursday, December 19th.
FACE will assist the Punjab Agriculture Department by bringing technological innovation, global expertise, and infrastructure development. The aim is to improve crop yields and promote sustainable farming practices that are suited to the region’s changing climate.
Punjab Agriculture Minister Syed Ashiq Hussain expressed hope that this partnership will tackle major challenges. These include food security, low crop yields, and the impact of climate change.
Mr. Hasan Akram, Chief Operating Officer of FACE, emphasized the organization’s dedication to empowering farmers. He mentioned that modern farming techniques and international expertise would be key to improving agricultural practices.
