FATA team to participate in next PSL edition: Jhagra

PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engr Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said there is no dearth of talent amongst students in FATA and providing of basic opportunities to them is need of the hour.
“The Government is focusing on flourishing not only curriculum activities but also co-curriculum activities as well and in this regard a cricket team from FATA will be made to participate in the third addition of PSL,” he disclosed.
He expressed these views on the occasion of award distribution ceremony held in honor of position holders and teachers from FATA on their best performance.
On this occasion Secretary Social Sector Department FATA Yousaf Raheem, Secretary Production FATA Abdul Latif, Director Education FATA Hashim Khan, Additional Director Education FATA Muhammad Abbas Khan, students and teachers were also present.
The Governor awarded students from FATA with 10,000/- rupees each on standing first in respective specialty. Moreover, prizes amounting Rs.100,000 were awarded each to respective teachers hailing from FATA on their best performance.
On the occasion the Governor reiterated, “Government is focusing on improvement of education system.
In fact, he added, ensuring improvement in working of education and health sectors of FATA is the top most priority of the incumbent government which are expected to bring positive impact.
In this connection he said the FATA University has opened up in FATA”.
He said “dignified return and rehabilitation of TDPs to their native places, apart from strengthening health and education facilities is the top most priority and as part of such efforts education emergency has forced in FATA”. – APP
