ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Amjad Zubair Tiwana has applied for premature retirement.
He has written a letter to the Prime Minister’s Office requesting early retirement, despite having six months remaining in his tenure. Tiwana submitted his application for premature retirement on August 15.
Sources suggest that Tiwana’s decision to retire early is due to work pressure and criticism. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will make the final decision on Tiwana’s resignation request.
