In a collaborative effort with various organizations, FC Balochistan (North) recently conducted extensive anti-trafficking operations across Balochistan, effectively intercepting a substantial amount of illegal goods destined for the region. Spanning from March 6th to March 24th, 2024, these operations led to the prevention of illicit items from entering the area.
The operations yielded remarkable results, with a total of 12 metric tons of drugs, 1135 solar panels and inverters, 410 cartons of cigarettes, and 39,260 liters of Iranian diesel seized during the crackdown. Furthermore, a variety of other smuggled goods, including sugar, urea fertilizer, china salt, tires, and non-customs paid vehicles, were also confiscated.
The crackdown covered several areas including Zhob, Qila Saifullah, Noshki, Barkhan, Panjpai, Chaman, Dera Allah Yar, and Pak-Afghan border regions, leading to the disruption of organized smuggling networks. The seized items, valued at Rs1927 million, were promptly handed over to customs authorities for further investigation and processing.
Smugglers attempted to transport these illicit goods by concealing them in trucks and passenger buses. However, the vigilance and swift action of FC Balochistan personnel foiled their attempts, ensuring the integrity of the region’s borders and security.
