SLAMABAD: Federal Minister Attaullah Tarar said on Monday that he doesn’t think PTI will be granted permission for their rally in Islamabad. He mentioned on media that given their past actions, it’s unlikely they’ll be allowed to hold the event.
PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat has vowed that their rally in Islamabad on August 22 will go ahead regardless of the weather or government action. He said the party is committed to holding the event peacefully and will not bring weapons or bombs.
Adviser to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, said Imran Khan decided to hold the rally after a long struggle, and the party will try to avoid breaking any laws.
Federal Minister Attaullah Tarar questioned whether PTI rallies have ever been peaceful, suggesting their past actions should be considered. He also noted that despite a recent peaceful protest by Jamaat-e-Islami, they were not allowed into Islamabad.
