ISLAMABAD: FIA’s cyber crime wing has apprehended four suspects who were alleged in harassing and blackmailing a woman in Islamabad.
FIA’s cyber crime circle has arrested four suspects namely Mohammad Jamshed, Mohsin Raza, Mohammad Hafeez, and Sohan Shah. These suspects were involved in online harassment and financial fraud activities.
According to officials Mohammad Hafeez and Sohan Shah have shared obscene Pictures of the victim woman on social media. They were blackmailing her and extorted hundreds and thousands of rupees in return for not sharing her obscene pictures.
While Mohammad Jamshed and Mohsin Raza represented them as friends of the Suspect and they also extorted hundreds and thousands of rupees. These suspects collectively extorted 1.7 million rupees from the woman.
The suspects were apprehended from different sectors of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. A case has been registered under the PECA Act and further investigation is ongoing.
