Field Marshal Asim Munir Says Externally Sponsored Terrorism Cannot Stop Pakistan’s Progress

Field Marshal Asim Munir said externally sponsored terrorism and propaganda campaigns cannot stop Pakistan from moving forward and achieving stability and progress.

During his visit to Quetta, the army chief addressed officers, faculty members and troops deployed in Balochistan. He said hostile elements were using fake news, disinformation and externally sponsored terrorism to create instability, but such efforts would fail because of the resilience of the Pakistani nation and the strength of state institutions.

Field Marshal Asim Munir stressed that Pakistan’s future could not be derailed through fear tactics or proxy activities. He reaffirmed that the Pakistan Armed Forces, with the support of the people, remained fully committed to eliminating terrorism from the country.

While speaking at the Command and Staff College in Quetta, he praised the institution for maintaining high standards of professionalism, training and leadership development. He also highlighted the changing nature of modern warfare and urged officers to stay prepared for emerging security challenges and technological advancements.

The army chief advised military officers to continue improving their professional skills and ensure operational readiness to meet future threats effectively. He said modern conflicts required strong coordination, advanced training and rapid adaptation.

Discussing the security situation in Balochistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir said lasting peace depended not only on security measures but also on inclusive development, better governance and public welfare. He appreciated the efforts being made for socio-economic progress and stronger relations between the state and the people of Balochistan.

He also praised the morale, dedication and preparedness of officers and troops serving in the province. According to the military’s media wing, the army chief reviewed the overall security environment during the visit and expressed confidence in the armed forces’ ability to maintain peace and stability across the region.
