Field Marshal Asim Munir Says War Against Terrorism Will Continue Until Peace Is Restored

Field Marshal Asim Munir has said that Pakistan’s war against terrorism will continue with full determination until lasting peace is achieved across the country.

According to the military’s media wing, a prestigious awards ceremony took place at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, where officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army received honours for bravery and outstanding service.

Field Marshal Asim Munir attended the event as the chief guest and presented awards to serving soldiers and the families of martyrs. The ceremony recognized exceptional courage shown during military operations and contributions made for the country’s security.

During the event, 50 Sitara-e-Imtiaz awards and 12 Tamgha-e-Basalat medals were given to army personnel. Families of martyrs received posthumous awards with pride and dignity.

Speaking at the ceremony, Asim Munir paid tribute to martyrs and war veterans. He said the nation would always remember their sacrifices with honour and respect. He added that Pakistan’s peace and stability are the result of their courage, commitment, and dedication.

The field marshal also praised the families of martyrs for their patience and strength. He acknowledged their sacrifices and called them a symbol of national pride.

Talking about the ongoing war against terrorism, Asim Munir appreciated the efforts of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies. He praised their operational readiness and commitment in fighting terrorist elements across the country.

He also repeated Pakistan’s resolve to eliminate terrorism and maintain peace and security. The military leadership stressed that the war against terrorism remains a top national priority and security forces will continue operations against militants.
