Islamabad: The process for approving the 27th Constitutional Amendment has entered its final phase as Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi reached Parliament House for a series of high-level meetings with Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar.
According to sources, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar met inside Parliament House to discuss the latest developments regarding the 27th Constitutional Amendment. Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar also joined the meeting in Ishaq Dar’s chamber, where the participants held consultations on the voting procedure and its expected timeline.
Sources revealed that the amendment has reached its final stage, and the leadership is now deliberating on the exact timing of the vote. Following the meeting with Ishaq Dar and Azam Nazeer Tarar, Mohsin Naqvi met separately with National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq in his chamber for further discussion.
The government’s top leadership is reportedly in the process of finalizing consensus before presenting the 27th Constitutional Amendment for formal approval in the Parliament.
