Karak: Five police personnel were martyred after unidentified assailants opened fire on a police mobile van in Karak.
According to police officials, the firing incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Gargarai Police Station. Initially, four police personnel were reported martyred as a result of the attack.
District Police Officer (DPO) Karak, Saud Khan, later confirmed that five police personnel embraced martyrdom in the firing incident, stating that all five officers were traveling in the police mobile van at the time of the attack.
Police authorities said that a heavy contingent has been dispatched to the scene, the area has been cordoned off, and evidence is being collected. Efforts are also underway to trace and arrest the perpetrators involved in the attack.
