Beijing: Pakistan’s Caretaker Foreign Minister, Jalil Abbas Jilani, is on an important trip from Saudi Arabia to China after attending a meeting in Jeddah.
This is part of Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to strengthen friendships with other countries. Jilani plays a crucial role as he assists the caretaker Prime Minister, Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, during an important meeting with the Chinese President today.
They will mainly discuss the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
They will talk about things like creating special economic zones, moving industries from China to Pakistan, and making the relationship between the two countries stronger.
The meeting is also a chance to talk about the concerning actions of Israel against Palestinians, showing that Pakistan is committed to peace in the region.
After the meeting with the Chinese President, Prime Minister Kakar will go to Xinjiang. There, he will lead Friday prayers at the historic Jamia Masjid in Aramchi.
