Former Federal Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique suffered a heart attack and was shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIC) for emergency treatment. Doctors performed an angioplasty and inserted a stent to stabilize his condition.
According to hospital sources, the procedure was carried out last night, and his condition has improved significantly. Khawaja Saad Rafique has now been discharged.
The former minister shared that he experienced a rapid heartbeat and was admitted to PIC for two days. “The angioplasty was successful, and I am feeling much better now,” he said.
Doctors confirmed that a single stent was placed and that he is recovering well under medical supervision. Authorities advised continued rest and regular check-ups to maintain heart health.
