PESHAWAR: According to FIA officials four accused in illegal remittance including two Afghan nationals have been apprehended in different Raids.
In detail, FIA officials said that an ongoing operation is being carried out against all illegal remittances and illegal currency exchange offices, furthermore, the FIA has conducted raids in Abbottabad, Kohat, and in the commercial banking sector of Peshawar.
During the raid, four accused were apprehended including two Afghan nationals. One accused Muhammad Ashraf was apprehended from Chowk Yadgar Peshawar while Mushtaq Ahmad was apprehended from Thakot, Batagram, and remaining from Kohat.
Furthermore, the official stated that they have collectively recovered 42300 UAE Dirhams, 18800 Saudi Riyal, and four million one hundred fifty thousand from the Accused.
The rise in such raids has surged after Pakistan decided to curb the economic crisis in the country. Pakistan has taken several steps concerning terrorism, illegal remittance, and illegal currency exchange in the country.
