Four Terrorists Killed, Two Policemen Martyred in Intense Rawalakot Operation

In a high-stakes Rawalakot operation, four dangerous terrorists were gunned down in a joint mission by police and law enforcement agencies. The deadly exchange of fire also claimed the lives of two police officers. Eight other personnel sustained injuries in the fierce battle.

According to SSP Poonch Riaz Mughal, the encounter took place in the dense forests of Hussain Kot. Speaking during a late-night press briefing, he revealed that the Rawalakot operation was launched based on confirmed intelligence reports. Authorities had received actionable information about the presence of terrorists hiding in the area.

The militants had taken refuge in a cave. Security officials believed they were plotting violent attacks in Azad Kashmir. Acting swiftly, the police, along with elite units, moved to surround the suspects in the rugged terrain.

SSP Mughal himself led the Rawalakot operation. “We approached the cave quietly and tried to arrest them. One of the terrorists threw a grenade. It injured a fellow terrorist and one of our officers,” he stated.

The grenade blast triggered an intense exchange of gunfire. All four terrorists were killed on the spot. They were wanted in several murder and terrorism cases.

Unfortunately, the Rawalakot operation came at a heavy cost. Two courageous police personnel were martyred during the encounter. SSP Riaz Mughal confirmed this loss. He also reported that twenty others suffered various injuries, some of them critical.

Despite the casualties, the operation was deemed a success. The law enforcement teams managed to eliminate a serious threat. These militants were planning bloodshed. Their plans were foiled before they could act.

The Rawalakot operation highlights the ongoing danger in the region. It also shows the bravery and sacrifice of Pakistan’s security forces. The police and supporting agencies remain committed to ensuring peace in Azad Kashmir.

Authorities have praised the fallen officers for their courage. Their sacrifice, they say, will not be forgotten. The wounded are being treated at local hospitals.

This Rawalakot operation serves as a reminder of the cost of peace. And the resolve of those who defend it.
