The funeral prayer for Major Muhammad Haseeb Shaheed, who was martyred while defending his homeland in the Harnai district of Balochistan, was offered at Chaklala Garrison in Rawalpindi. His sacrifice was honored by military personnel, civilians, and his family.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), a number of dignitaries attended the Nimaz-e-Janaza. Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir was present, along with Federal Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal. Senior military officers, soldiers, and the martyr’s family were also in attendance.
During the ceremony, General Syed Asim Munir praised Major Haseeb Shaheed’s bravery. He emphasized that the sacrifices made by such officers and soldiers reflect the unyielding commitment to protecting Pakistan from terrorism.
General Munir reaffirmed the nation’s support for the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies in their fight against terrorism and insurgency. He mentioned the ongoing struggle against “Fitna al-Khawarij” and vowed to stand united against any threat to the country’s peace and security.
The funeral served as a reminder of the immense sacrifices made by Pakistan’s military personnel in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty.
