MARDAN: The funeral prayer for the policeman martyred in a terrorist attack on a police post in Takhtbhai Archeology Tehsil of Mardan district was offered at Mardan Police Line on Friday.
Unknown armed men attacked the police post in Takhtbhai Archeology Tehsil, resulting in the death of Umar Nabi and injuries to two constables, Muhammad Fayaz and Shabbir.
Rescue officials reported that the fallen constable, Umar Nabi, hailed from the Kondkhor area. The injured personnel and the deceased have been transported to Mardan Medical Complex (MMC) for medical attention.
Following the attack, a significant police presence was deployed to the scene. Authorities have cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation to apprehend the culprits.
Condemnation and Tribute
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the terrorist attack and honored the sacrifice of Constable Umar Nabi. He extended his deepest sympathies to the family of the martyred constable and wished for the swift recovery of the injured officers.
Minister Naqvi lauded the bravery of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police, acknowledging their courage and dedication in the ongoing fight against terrorism.
