Lt. Gen (Retd) Mohammad Saeed speaks to Sky News about India-Pakistan tensions
In an interview with Yalda Hakim on Sky News, Lt. General (Retired) Mohammad Saeed addressed India’s accusations against Pakistan following the recent Pahalgam incident. He also spoke about the ongoing propaganda war from India.
He warned that both India and Pakistan are nuclear powers, and non-state actors could push the two nations toward war. General Saeed expressed concern that there is no effective crisis management system in place between the two countries to handle such dangerous situations.
“We are heading towards a dangerous scenario,” he said. “The absence of dialogue could make things worse.”
Speaking about past events, he said he condemns what happened in Pulwama and stressed that non-state actors have no religion or nationality.
General Saeed called it unacceptable to blame Pakistan without evidence. He urged India to share real intelligence data if it exists. He also emphasized that under international law, no country has the right to target families.
He stated that the only solution to this ongoing conflict is dialogue. “History shows that disputes are never resolved without talks,” he added.
General Saeed reminded the world that Pakistan has repeatedly extended a hand of peace, but India has remained silent and unresponsive.
