General Ziya Cemal Kadıoglu appreciated the Pakistan Air Force for its support in training Turkish pilots during an important meeting with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu in Turkiye.
The meeting took place at the Turkish Air Force Headquarters during the PAF chief’s official visit to the country. Both sides discussed ways to strengthen defence cooperation and expand professional ties between the two friendly nations.
According to the military’s media wing, General Ziya Cemal Kadıoglu and Air Chief Marshal Sidhu focused on improving coordination through joint exercises, advanced training programmes and professional exchanges. The discussions reflected the growing defence partnership between Pakistan and Turkiye.
During the visit, the PAF chief also met Turkish Defence Minister Yasar Guler. The two leaders reviewed long-standing strategic relations and explored new opportunities for cooperation in aerospace development, military training and capacity building.
In another important engagement, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu held talks with Selcuk Bayraktar, Chief Technology Officer of Baykar Technologies. Their discussion centred on aerospace innovation, unmanned aerial systems and emerging defence technologies.
The meetings highlighted the shared vision of Pakistan and Turkiye to increase collaboration in next-generation defence projects and modern military technologies.
General Ziya Cemal Kadıoglu acknowledged the professional standards of the Pakistan Air Force and praised its continued support in strengthening Turkish pilot training. The visit is being seen as another positive step towards deeper strategic cooperation between the two countries.
