Gilgit-Baltistan Election Campaign 2026 Set to End Ahead of June 7 Polls

The Gilgit-Baltistan election campaign 2026 will officially end at midnight on Friday, marking the close of weeks of political activity ahead of the general elections scheduled for June 7.

Political parties are holding final rallies across key constituencies as they make their last efforts to mobilize voters before campaigning stops.

In constituency GBA-1, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will hold a major public gathering at the Aga Khan Shahi Polo Ground. The event will be addressed by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari.

In another major activity, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is set to organize a rally in the Rondo subdivision of Skardu under constituency GBA-10. Senior leaders Khawaja Saad Rafique and Amir Muqam are expected to address the gathering.

Separately, the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party will also hold a rally led by former governor Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon, who is expected to speak at the event.

With campaigning coming to an end, political parties are focusing on final voter outreach efforts ahead of polling day in Gilgit-Baltistan.
