Karachi: After a sharp surge in recent days, gold prices in Pakistan continued to fall, with the per tola rate dropping significantly again on Thursday.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of one tola gold decreased by Rs25,500, bringing the new rate to Rs511,862.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs21,862, reaching Rs438,839 across local markets.
Global gold prices also decline
In the international market, gold prices also witnessed a major fall. Reports said the global gold rate dropped by $255, settling at $4,895 per ounce.
Gold down Rs61,000 in two days
It is worth noting that gold prices had already declined by Rs35,500 per tola a day earlier. With today’s further reduction of Rs25,500, gold has become cheaper by a total of Rs61,000 per tola in just two days.
Market analysts say the trend is being closely watched by investors and buyers, as both local demand and global price movements continue to influence Pakistan’s bullion market.
