ISLAMABAD: The world’s most widely used search engine, ‘Google,’ is marking its 25th anniversary today.
Google Doodle, known for its creative changes on significant occasions, has been updated for this silver jubilee celebration. The company has incorporated the numbers ’25’ into its doodle to commemorate the milestone, visible to users worldwide.
Exactly 25 years ago, in 1998, Larry Page and Sergey Brin launched Google as a university research project in a suburban California garage. Today, the company boasts offices and data centers in over 200 cities spanning six continents.
It’s worth noting that while Google was officially founded on September 4, 1998, it has observed its birthday on September 27 since 2002.
