Government Extends Hajj 2026 Payment Deadline for Pilgrims

The government has extended the Hajj 2026 payment deadline, giving applicants a final chance to submit their dues. The Government Extends Hajj 2026 Payment Deadline to ensure all registered pilgrims can complete the second instalment on time.

Muhammad Umar Butt, spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, stated that applicants must pay their Hajj dues by Wednesday. He warned that failure to meet this deadline will lead to cancellation of the Hajj application.

Hajj Policy 2026: Quota and Payment Details

Earlier in June, Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf announced the Hajj Policy 2026. Pakistan’s total pilgrim quota remains at 179,210. Out of this, 119,210 pilgrims will perform Hajj under the government’s regular scheme.

The private scheme quota has been reduced by 50%, now allowing only 60,000 pilgrims. This means two-thirds of the total Hajj quota is allocated to the government scheme. The government scheme holds 66.52% of the quota, while the private scheme accounts for 33.48%.

Under the government scheme, total Hajj expenses range from Rs1,150,000 to Rs1,250,000. The first instalment of Rs500,000 was collected in the first week of August.

Health Restrictions for Hajj 2026

Saudi Arabia has imposed strict rules for pilgrims with serious illnesses. Pilgrims unable to meet health requirements may be deported at their own cost. This policy ensures the safety and well-being of all Hajj participants.

Pilgrims are urged to complete their payments immediately to secure their Hajj slot and comply with health regulations. Missing the payment deadline may result in losing the opportunity to perform Hajj 2026 under the government or private scheme.
