Governor KP Remarks on Provincial Governance Highlight Law and Order and Reforms in KP

Governor KP remarks on provincial governance

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has said that efforts are underway to improve the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially in the southern districts, where sustainable peace is seen as essential for economic stability, investment, and job creation.

While speaking to the media at the residence of Barrister Arshad Abdullah, he said his Governor KP remarks on provincial governance reflect support for resolving public issues, including wheat and CNG-related matters. However, he added that the provincial administration must show greater seriousness in addressing these challenges.

He noted that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police are performing their duties with limited resources. He also said the provincial government has not yet taken effective steps to increase police salaries, despite their efforts in maintaining order.

Faisal Karim Kundi said he is ready to extend full cooperation to resolve the province’s ongoing issues and improve governance outcomes.

He also commented on international diplomacy, saying the Field Marshal and the federal government played a positive role in easing tensions between Iran and the United States, which has been appreciated globally.

On governance reforms, he stressed the need for long-term improvements in the health and education sectors to ensure better public services for citizens.

Turning to politics, he criticized the chief minister’s decision to bring his security guard onto the assembly floor, calling it an unconstitutional act.

He further said the provincial government has failed to properly present Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s case before the Centre regarding the NFC Award.

Kundi emphasized that a strong federation is key to a strong Pakistan, adding that national issues should be resolved through dialogue and cooperation rather than confrontation.
