ISLAMABAD: The government has appreciated the opposition over its cooperation for speedy legislation process in the parliament.
Talking to media outside the Parliament House along with Leader of the House in the Senate Syed Shibli Faraz and Senator Faisal Javed Khan, Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said it has been proved in both the Houses that all political parties are united for the interest of country.
She said all political parties in the parliament played a vital role in further strengthening democratic process in the country.
Dr Firdous said national security and defence are the prime responsibility of the government and today both the Houses were further strengthened showing political maturity.
Syed Shibili Faraz, on the occasion, said support of opposition benches in passage of the bills related to important national security issue is commendable and hoped that this cooperation will be continued in other legislation processes as well.
Senator Faisal Javed Khan positive and constructive criticism from the opposition side will be welcomed.
He also expressed hope that this cooperation and unity from the opposition benches will be witnessed in the days to come.
