ISLAMABAD: The government has announced plans to dissolve the Islamabad Blood Transfusion Authority and the Human Organ Transplant Authority under the Health Ministry to streamline services and cut costs. These will be merged into the Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority, leading to staff reductions.
Additionally, the Ministry of States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) will merge with the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), as per Rightsizing Committee recommendations. A special committee will address the future of Jammu & Kashmir State Properties, with potential sales directed toward welfare for Azad Kashmir and GB.
The Jammu and Kashmir Refugee Rehabilitation Organization will also be dissolved, with staff cuts across related departments.
