ISLAMABAD: Sarfaraz Bugti, the Caretaker Interior Minister, addressed a press conference in Islamabad and stated that after the 31st of October deadline. A crackdown would be initiated against all illegal immigrants who would be arrested and placed in different “Holding Centers” instead of prisons.
He further mentioned that this crackdown would target individuals without legal documents or with fake Pakistani identity cards or forged documents related to Pakistani identity.
Actions would also be taken against Pakistani nationals aiding Afghan nationals in acquiring fake documents.
Bugti clarified that the government would not take any actions against Afghan refugees with legal documents.
Evicted Afghan refugees can carry up to fifty thousand rupees per family, with the remaining money to be transferred through proper banking channels.
Additionally, Bugti noted that, according to Pakistani law, if a woman marries a foreigner, the government does not provide nationality to the husband, but if a man marries a foreign woman, the Pakistan government provides nationality to the wife.

Bugti emphasized that all illegal immigrants should voluntarily leave Pakistan, as there is still time before the deadline expires.
He asserted that action should not be taken against any legal immigrant, and those wishing to enter Pakistan with proper documentation would be welcomed by the government.
