In Peshawar, the Grand Jirga called by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has concluded. This significant gathering included representatives from various political parties and federation. They discussed the political climate and law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister Amir Muqam represented the federal government during the Jirga. The federal authorities have given Chief Minister Gandapur permission to negotiate with the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement. This move aims to enhance dialogue and foster stability in the province.
In his address, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi emphasized that peace is our top priority. He stated that ensuring peace was the sole agenda of today’s Jirga. Kundi expressed gratitude to the provincial government for organizing the event and acknowledged the valuable presence of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
He further thanked the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the members of the Provincial Assembly for convening this important Jirga. The discussions held during the Jirga highlight the commitment to achieving lasting peace and stability in the region.
