Islamabad: Veteran television actor Khalid Hafeez Khan, best known for his role as Shameem Sahib in PTV’s classic drama Guest House, has passed away.
According to family sources, the late actor’s funeral prayers will be offered after Asr at the H-11 graveyard in Islamabad.
Khalid Hafeez rose to nationwide fame through Guest House, a drama that remains popular even today and is remembered for setting new standards in Pakistani television drama. His portrayal of Shameem Sahib earned him lasting recognition among viewers.
The drama also played a key role in launching the career of Afzal Khan (Jan Rambo) and is considered one of PTV’s most successful productions of its time.
Fans, fellow artists, and social media users have expressed deep sorrow over Khalid Hafeez’s death, offering prayers for the forgiveness of the departed soul and elevation of his ranks.
