QUETTA: A hand grenade attack in Quetta’s congested Liaquat Bazaar resulted in one death and multiple injuries. According to witnesses and police, the explosion occurred with a loud bang, leaving six others wounded.
Emergency services, including ambulances, police, and the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), quickly arrived at the scene. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The BDS and police began securing the area and collecting evidence from the crime scene. Preliminary investigations revealed that unidentified assailants threw hand grenades at citizens in the China market area.
An investigation is underway to determine the motive behind the attack. The identities of the attackers remain unknown. Hospital officials reported that the condition of two of the injured is critical.
