Hangu Terrorist Attack: Two FC Personnel Martyred, Five Militants Killed in Retaliation

A deadly Hangu terrorist attack targeted a Frontier Constabulary (FC) fort in the Torawari area within the Doaba police station limits. The assault claimed the lives of two FC personnel and left 17 others injured.

District Police Officer (DPO) Hangu Khalid Khan confirmed the incident and said that FC troops, along with police, retaliated with full force. In the counter-assault, five militants, including a local facilitator, were killed on the spot.

According to the DPO, the joint police and FC operation against the armed group is still in progress. He stressed that the security forces will continue until every possible threat is eliminated from the region.

Security officials added that the entire area has been sealed off following the Hangu terrorist attack. The fallen soldiers were shifted to a nearby hospital along with the injured, where medical treatment is underway.

The officials further said that security forces remain on high alert. They vowed that the operation will not be called off until the last militant is neutralized. The terrorist assault in Hangu has once again highlighted the sacrifices of Pakistan’s security personnel who stand at the frontline against extremism.

The Hangu terrorist incident also reflects the continued determination of security agencies to fight back and ensure stability. Local sources confirmed that the combined force of FC and police has strengthened patrols and cordoned off sensitive areas to prevent any further militant activity.

Authorities declared that the terrorist attack in Hangu will not weaken the resolve of Pakistan’s security institutions. Instead, they said, it will only strengthen their commitment to protecting the nation.
