The incident began when terrorists kidnapped three FC personnel from the Kot Azam area on August 11. Earlier, on July 9, four security guards of a private bank were also taken hostage. The incident caused concern among the local population and led to various protests.
Yesterday, the families of the kidnapped bank security guards held a protest outside the house of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur. They demanded the safe return of their loved ones and threatened to self-immolate if their demands were not met.
The Dera Ismail Khan abductions began with an armed robbery on July 9, where gunmen attacked the vehicles of a private bank, kidnapping the security guard Zako. The armed men set the bank vehicle on fire after the abduction, adding to the tension in the area.
