ICC Announces Women’s Player of the Month Nominees for September

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled the nominations for the Women’s Player of the Month for September, featuring Pakistan’s Sidra Ameen, India’s Smriti Mandhana, and South Africa’s Tazmin Brits.

According to ICC details, Sidra Ameen earned her spot through her exceptional performances in the Pakistan–South Africa ODI series, where her consistent batting helped Pakistan remain competitive throughout. Similarly, Tazmin Brits impressed with her all-round performance in the same series. Smriti Mandhana, on the other hand, was named Player of the Series in India’s home ODI series against Australia, further strengthening her credentials as one of the top batters in women’s cricket.

Meanwhile, for the Men’s Player of the Month, the ICC has nominated three players — two from India and one from Zimbabwe. India’s Abhishek Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav have been shortlisted for their stellar performances in the Asia Cup, while Zimbabwe’s Brian Bennett made the list after scoring 497 runs in his last nine T20 matches at an impressive average of 55.22.

The final winners for both categories will be announced soon after the voting process concludes.
