Tribunal serves notices on ECP, RO over Imran Khan’s petition

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court has barred Sessions Court from running libel proceedings on the application of Ali Mustafa Dar against Imran Khan.
IHC judge Justice Gul Hasan Aurangzeb heard the case where Babar Awan represented Imran Khan.
Babar Awan argued that Ishaq Dar, along with his family, is absconding from Pakistan s courts and living in London. He informed the court that the accountability court has declared the former finance minister an absconder while Supreme Court has suspended his membership of Senate for the same reason.
Babar Awan argued that an absconder cannot file a libel against another citizen since the Supreme Court rules also apply on IHC.
