ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued a contempt of court notice to the Adiala jail superintendent for denying former Prime Minister Imran Khan access to his legal team.
The IHC has also summoned the superintendent for a hearing scheduled at 10:30 AM tomorrow. Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan presided over the hearing related to the jail official’s conduct.
The notice follows a writ petition filed by Khan’s legal counsel, citing the violation of the IHC’s September 6 order, which granted permission for meetings between Imran Khan and his lawyers. The court has approved the petition for hearing and has directed that notices be issued to the relevant parties, including the Additional Attorney General, via special messenger.
