ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday served separate notices on National Accountability Bureau (NAB) while hearing appeals filed by Sharif family against verdict in Avenfield properties reference and transfer of remaining references to another judge from Mohammad Bashir.
The court started hearing appeals filed by former Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supreme leader Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and retired captain Safdar.
Division bench comprising Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiani and Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb is hearing the appeals while Nawaz Sharif’s counsel Khawaja Haris is submitting his arguments.
Meanwhile, the IHC also declared maintainable the appeals of the former premier and his family against the Avenfield verdict
However, it dismissed Nawaz’s request to stay the corruption trial of the remaining references till the matter is decided by the IHC.
